DECONSTRUCTIVISM

Deconstructivism is a style which rise in the post-modern architecture, the term Deconstructivism mean a critical dismantling of tradition and traditional modes of thought. It is a total deviation in the modality of construction, changes in the way of thinking, trying new things out not being pragmatic, but with display of engineering design capabilities, and proving that nothing is impossible in architecture with steel structure and ability of building to become intelligent. Walt Disney Building in Los Angeles and the MARTA museum in Germany are very good example of Deconstructivism, construction went extreme to the extent that building looks more of sculptural and art works giving architect the confidence to think artistic with an ability to incorporate space in their art works, Deconstructivism is very useful in architecture, vehicle designs, it redeemed architect of their artistic weakness and fear of building collapse, thinking structure might fail when they  design curve linear or irregular shapes deviating from the modalities of shapes in architecture. Frank gehry employed cutting-edge computer technology to uncover the engineering solutions that could bring his sculptural sketches to life
Deconstruction was sometimes used scornfully to suggest an attitude of doubt or a disposition to disbelief traditional way of construction, a doctrine that denies any objective ground of truth in construction which leads to something totally different, practicable and workable in it on way.
In Deconstruction these designs architects did not concern themselves with the physical laws of the real world, and most of their early proposals were unbuildable. Later on, actual buildings resulted from some of these ideas, and the architects had to address the realities of construction and the weight of materials. The resulting buildings were typically disjointed in form, and they dramatically contradicted standard conventions of design and construction.
Decon buildings. Are buildings that exhibit the characteristics of Deconstructivism, like curve linear, imitation of human forms, ambient  representation of function, they do not compulsorily  reflect specific social or modern ideas, such as universality of form that is primitive shapes like cubes. Vertical and horizontal lines and they do not reflect a belief that form follows function.
Deconstruction offered a powerful critique of the possibility of creating detached structures, as complex constructions, and it emphasized the role of paradox and irony in their artifacts.
Deconstruction is possible due to technological advances in technology, new building materials and the presence of architect that can take a bold lead to try something completely different in the philosophy of designs and construction, Deconstructivism does not come to existence by accident, it was driven by people’s desire to see buildings looking like an art work or sculpture, in other to satisfy people’s desire for structures like this, research were done to accomplish it. The structural material mostly used in decon buildings are steel and concrete due to their distinct properties, in terms of weight and flexibility, durability and strength.
Deconstructivism is complete criticisms of everything  in architecture, it as no governing philosophy and principle, it is done at will, expressions are not limited whether , they are relevant or not, it is difficult to define the truth and false in Deconstructivism, since what are produce are exactly what people want, then you can only say it is correct or through when the people that use them says it is, in that sense it is consumer oriented, it aim at satisfy people not grounded  philosophy, and so called principles of architect, I would refer Deconstructivism as construction at ones interest, free to bend procedures, free from the culture, that is in the way constructions are done ,manipulating things until you get your desire, computer aided constructions as really help architect to achieve Deconstructivism, the use of drawings drawn on drawing boards as working drawings are not accurate enough to achieve this exploit and primitive structural design syllabus, and manual limit state structural designs, structural checks for bending, bearing and deflections are done by a computer program, is a total waste of time, using the primitive ways of structural design cannot beat the reach of Deconstructivism, they cannot even achieve the constructional dynamism  in Deconstructivism.

 CONCLUSION
Deconstructivism can be regarded as a complete rejection of rational thinking. Deconstructivism architects such as Frank Gehry challenged the functionalist aesthetic of modern architecture through designs using radical geometries, irregular forms, and complex, dynamic constructions. It also contributed to an increased awareness of the role that anthropological field-workers played in shaping buildings through their historical discipline and knowledge.
