SITE MEETING

Site meeting are also called progress meeting- the fact that they are held on site, make them to be called site meeting, the frequency of the site meeting depend on mode of engagement of consultant agreed upon by the client.

There are two ways a client employs a contract

1)      Normal supervision; it means they will come to site ones in a month

2)      Residency- it means that they should be coming to site every day

The first site meeting after the contract execution is also known as briefing meeting, the set of people admitted to a site meeting are called project team

They include:

1.      Client: optional he might be represented by the architect

2.      Architect

3.      Structural Engineer

4.      Electrical Engineer

5.      Mechanical Engineer

6.      Any specialist on the project

7.      Works contractor

8.      Supplier

9.      Sub-contractor

10.  Supplier

11.  Clerk of works
